The know-how generated at the University centres, departments and institutes is transferred to the manufacturing sector through a variety of collaboration mechanisms. The R&D&i contracts and agreements currently represent the most common instrument used in the collaboration between the University and its social-economic environment.
Tecnologia UIB through the OTRI (Technology Transfer Office) of the Fundación Universidad-Empresa de las Islas Baleares (FUEIB) offers technical support and consultancy in the process of negotiation and administration of the research, technical assistance and consultancy agreements to public and private organizations and helps in the preparation of proposals to official calls for collaborative projects.
